Review on Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Active Neem Face Wash

Hey all,
How are you all doing? I have nothing exciting happening so far but in high dreams of making something happen. J

Today it is a skin care product that is making up its way on my blog. If you have seen my previous post of “Currently Testing Out”, then Garnier Pure Active Neem Face wash was a part of it. I am currently using the new face wash in the evenings returning home from office. Although I still and will ever use my HG face wash atleast once a day or when my skin is troubled. Lately my skin is well behaved except for the flakiness on the cheek sides.

Read on to find out how the Garnier Neem face wash has flared..

Pure Active Neem Wash / How it works?

Usage & Ingredients:

Package:

Garnier has a neat packaging for their Neem Face wash and is spill proof to carry in case. The cap is a screw type that fits firm. But I am more towards flip cap. The squeeze tube is mess free dispersing the right quantity. It is not transparent.

I will give a rating of 4/5 for Packaging!

Fragrance:

I love it. It is not overpowering or herbalish nor chemicalish as well. (lots of ish I guess :P) It has a refreshing citrusy smell that is not too strong. The fragrance does not linger for long.

I give 4.5/5!

Texture/ Consistency:

The texture is gel type that glides on wet face. This gel neem face wash lathers well on face which does not sting on skin or pimples. Also runny in consistency, a little dollop of it would suffice the entire face.

Rating: 4.5 / 5

Cleansing:

The Garnier Pure Active face wash gently cleanses away any impurities on pore. It clears up the clogged pores. However it does not cleanse off any makeup including just a BB cream on face or it does not claim to do so as well.

Rating: 5/5

On Pimples:

As of now my acne combination skin is under control. It does not irritate or reduce the
existing pimples. However this face wash cleanses of clogs on the pore preventing breakouts. (If you are breaking out due to dirt or pollution)

Rating: 4/5

My Personal Experience:

To be honest I have not tried much of Garnier stuff except for the Garnier BB Cream which I don’t hate. The face wash was gentle enough to cleanse off my skin of the long day’s skin. It is definitely not a harsh face wash but gentle and do not cause dryness. Dirt caused pimples can be kept at bay with this. It does control excess oil on face while at the same time do not dry out the cheeks. Here goes the good and bad of this Neem Wash from Garnier.

Likes:

  • Cleansing
  • Fights bacteria/pollution
  • Not drying out
  • Not irritating existing pimples
  • Keeps breakouts under control
  • Suitable for oily, combination to normal skin types with occasional breakouts
  • Fragrance
  • Price
Dislikes:

  • Packaging could have been better
  • May not suit acne prone (severe reddish pimples)

My thoughts:

I am love with the Garnier Skin Naturals Neem Face Wash. It is definitely makes up way to the top 5 face washes I like. Since it is not over drying it can be used in winters or be given a try by the dry skinnies too although it is best suited for oily to combo pimple prone skin. Remember it is only for pimple prone skin and not acne prone. Severely acne prone girls could give it a skip and let their skin heal without harming it further.

Normal, combination to oil skin with occasional breakouts who would like to keep their skin from dirt & pollution can add this Neem + Tea tree extracts Pure Active face wash from Garnier a shot.

Overall Rating: 4.5/5

Adity Iyer
