Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Review

Current Favorite Kajal for Daily Wear

Review & Swatches on Lakme Eyeconic Kajal

Hey gals,

I am recently obsessed with the brand Lakme and I started using quite a lot of products from their range. Their products somehow suit my combination to oily acne prone skin. Love some products from both Lakme skin care and makeup range.
Guess I raved a lot as 90% of the products I try cause me breakouts but this brand gave me a little confidence to try. Been so long since I did reviews of any products so thought of starting up with the one I recently bought and fell for it.

It is the Lakme Eyeconic range: Mascara and the Kajal
I bought both but first used mascara and it was awesome to say in a word. I did not buy the Kajal as I had some good ones and 199 Rs seemed too high as well as Maybelline Colossal Kajal did not appeal me. Anyway I finally got my hands on it as the packaging, the colour and the stick tempted me.

The Pack:

Beautiful aqua blue colour with an eye along with the eyeconic captions written on the front.
It also claims on the front of the pack as 10 hour

  • No smudge
  • Waterproof
  • Dermatologically tested

Pen style Kajal:

Tear the dotted card at the back and the cute pen style kajal is out in black with eyeconic written on same blue colour. It is a twist up style like the Colossal one. My pen perfectly works and I am happy about it. The packaging is also sturdy while the cap fits snuggly. I have dropped it a dozen times and still the kajal inside stood intact :)

Lakme Eyeconic Kajal, How to use:

On the upper lid, draw a neat stroke, starting from the inner corner of the eye and extending outwards.
Repeat on lower lid

Tips:

Ensure that Kajal tip is smooth and rounded for even application.
For a super dramatic look, use along with Lakme Eyeconic Mascara.

How to remove:

Wipe with a cotton pad soaked with Lakme Absolute Bi – phased Make up remover.

Kajal on me:

Let me directly jot down what I like,
  • Cute packaging with pen kajal working fine
  • Kajal is dark, loved the thick black on waterline
  • Smudge proof
  • Glides smooth without tugging
  • No irritation on eyes when applied on waterline
  • Easy to remove
Nays:
  • Smudge proof but may be not for 10 hours just the way it was applied though I am happy with the staying power
  • Price
Swatches:

Tried rubbing hard with my fingers..this is the result

So I totally like the lakme kajal on my eyes. I don’t use it on upper lids as eyeliner cause I am not used of these and also love eyeliners to glide smooth. I did not like this kajal on my upper lids so can’t really comment on it.
But for the waterline it works amazing. No irritation, smooth application, stays long, easy to remove and the dark black on waterline makes eyes look beautiful.

As for comparison with Maybelline Colossal Kajal 6hr with Lakme Eyeconic Kajal definitely Lakme wins.
If you have not tried Lakme Eyeconic or happy with colossal then do try onceJ
